Van de Onderaannemingsovereenkomst, Of Beginselen van Poëtische Recht is a complete Dutch-langauge edition of my 2013 collection about computational capitalism, Of the Subcontract, Or Principles of Poetic Right, the 100 poems in which were written by underpaid workers hired on Amazon's Mechanical Turk labour pooling platform.
All of the content was translated using Google, left uncorrected, then poured back into the design files for the first print edition.
The front cover is a simple photograph of the first print edition, which appears as a selfie via the mirrorboard card stock used.
Van de Onderaannemingsovereenkomst was published as part of 'The Economy is Spinning', an exhibition curated by Kris Dittel at Onomatopee in Eindhoven in summer 2016. The Dutch-language edition was only available via the corpoate print-on-demand platform, Lulu.com, for the duration of the exhibition, as well as from the gallery's bookstore.
Throughout the Dutch edition, crop and registration marks line the margins of the covers and pages to show the shift in dimensions from the first UK paperback to Lulu's generic A5 format.
