Vom Unterauftrag oder: Prinzipien des poetischen Rechts is a complete German-language edition of my 2013 poetry collection about computational capitalism, Of the Subcontract, Or Principles of Poetic Right.
The 100 poems in the book were written by underpaid workers hired on Amazon's Mechanical Turk labour pooling platform. This translation was prepared entirely using uncorrected Google Translate returns, poured back into the design files for the first print edition.
Vom Unterauftrag oder: Prinzipien des poetischen Rechts was published in conjunction wiht the 21st Berlin Poetry Festival, 2020. It is the third such version, following uncorrected machine translations into Dutch (2016) and Spanish (2019).
