Co-curated by Information as Material during our residency at Whitechapel Gallery, Sucking on Words featured performances by Rob Lavers and Simon Morris, myself, and Jaap Blonk. The evening also included a VJ reel curated by Canadian poet Christian Bök.
Set within Josiah McElheny's installation The Past Was a Mirage I Had Left Far Behind (2011), the programme sought to stage, distort, and heighten language's material dimension across media and genre via the the voice.
