Structured like an internet meme, this two-colour screenprint uses black line, chromakey paint and the Impact font to caption an empty greenscreen with an adjusted translation of a line from Vladamir Mayakovsky's poem 'A Cloud in Trousers', written pre-Revolution in 1914. When pasted to the wall, the poster can be used as a backdrop with any standard greenscreen setting or app, turning the paper into an editable meme generator or frame for the mise en abîme of selfie culture.
This was originally editioned as a two-colour screenprint on large-format poster paper with a deckle edge. It has since been re-printed on a smaller sheet size with trimmed edges, as an insert for the literary journal Convolutions, in Spring 2020.
