An observer’s guide to the Serpentine Gallery's 2011 marathon dedicated to the Garden, compiled in one voice, in the field, by a pool of writers: Paul Becker, Ian Evans, Will Holder, John D. Millar, Francesco Pedraglio, Heather Phillipson, Natasha Soobramanien, Cally Spooner, Nick Thurston and Luke Williams.
The project was edited and initiated by Will Holder. A slipcover and signature of front matter, including a programme for the Marathon, were distributed during the two-day event. A second section containing the field reports was edited, printed and published after the fact.
