The presentation of artist's books and multiples to the public is a challenge to the artist, the curator and the gallery audience. This includes the handling of the physical object, the storage of the artefact and the effectiveness of communicating the artist's intent.
This exhibition aimed to broaden exposure and accesibility. It included work by more than 50 different international artists, particularly focussing on intellectual, symbolic and representational themes. It presented the works in designated 'room'-like installations. The exhibition design created an interior domestic feel and used furnishings to encourage tactilty and set an ambience for the reading experience.
