This sympiosium was proposed to think about critical practice as a creative experiment with form in its own right. Contributors were invited to re-examine the relationship between research and the forms adopted for presenting, communicating, and disseminating it. By considering diverse sites of critical and creative production, the project focused on experimenting with modalities of criticism and ways of addressing formal critical-creative hybridity.
The event brought together artist, curators, writers, critics and scholars addressing questions of hybrid creative-critical forms in theory and practice though talks, performances, screenings, readings, installations and my riso-printed broadside edition, Imago, a two-colour risograph print on 120gsm rcycled paper, printed in an unlimited edition (first run, 60 + 5 APs) by Hato Press, London.
